    You can preserve it using a clear protective craft sealant after the gingerbread and icing have completely dried.

    Apply light coats according to the product's instructions and allow them to dry thoroughly. Store your finished house somewhere cool and dry, protected from moisture and dust.

    Important: Once a gingerbread house has been treated with a protective sealant, it is no longer edible and should be clearly marked for display only.
